This single‑origin sencha from IMA KYOTO is made exclusively from first‑flush, organically grown leaves. The tea is rich in nutrients, having endured the cold winter, and offers a pure, refreshing flavor with a beautiful balance of sweetness, umami, bitterness, and a gentle astringency.
Brewed at around 70°C, it becomes sweet, bright, and calming. With hotter water, the tea shows a firmer astringency, while cold‑brew or iced extraction brings out remarkable sweetness. It’s a versatile sencha you can enjoy in many styles—light, clean, and never tiring.
Sun‑grown sencha contains abundant catechins, vitamin C, and minerals. Catechins provide natural antibacterial benefits, making sencha a great choice before meals, while out and about, or after eating to help prevent tooth decay. Its moderate caffeine content makes it ideal for mornings and afternoons.
