Fukamushi Matcha Genmaicha
— A Perfect Balance of Sweetness and Aroma This premium blend combines deeply steamed sencha with Uji matcha and top‑grade glutinous rice. The result is a tea with a distinctive sweetness and a rich, toasty aroma.
Unlike ordinary genmaicha, which often uses lower‑grade second or third harvest tea leaves, our blend features first‑flush fukamushi sencha from Shizuoka and high‑quality matcha from Uji, Kyoto. The mellow sweetness of matcha harmonizes beautifully with the roasted fragrance of rice, creating a gentle and refined aftertaste that transforms the typical image of genmaicha.
Because it uses deeply steamed tea leaves, the flavor remains rich even in the second infusion—something that lighter‑steamed teas cannot achieve. After extensive testing, we found the ideal matcha ratio that enhances the rice aroma without overpowering it.
